Digimon Adventure 02 is a continuation of Adventure. It takes place three years after Adventure. The orignial digidestined are in high school and busy. Matt has a band and Mimi lives in America working as a supermodel. T.K. has just moved near the other digidestined. Yolei and Cody live in his new building. They also go to his new school. So does Kari and Davis, a boy who bears a strong resemblence to Tai. They are both hot-headed and soccer-obsessed. Davis is jealous of T.K. because Kari gives him more attention. A new threat has hit the Digital World. There is a kid called The Digimon Emperor who has taken over the Digital World. His partner digimon is Wormmon who he treats like a servant. He controls digimon with dark rings and prevents digivolution with control spires. Tai returns to the digital world to save it. Agumon can't digivolve though. He finds a DigiEgg with his crest's picture on it. When he touched it, three orbs of light shoot out. They are three new digivices, later called D-3's. They make their way to Davis, Yolei, and Cody. Kari, T.K., and Davis enter the digital world. Davis picked up the DigiEgg and Veemon came out of it. He then armor digivolved into Flamedramon using the DigiEgg of Courage. Yolei and Cody find the DigiEggs of Love and Knowledge. They get their partners, Hawkmon and Armadillomon. Kari and T.K.'s digivices turn into D-3's and Gatomon and Patamon can now armor digivolve. They find the eggs of Friendship, Sincerity, and Reliability later on. The Digimon emperor uses Dark Spirals to control stonger digimon later. When Veemon Golden Armor digivolves to Magnamon and destoys the base, and Kimeramon, The Digimon Emperor's Creation, The Digimon emperor leaves his title. He returns to his normal self, Ken Ichijoji, known as a boy genius. He also abandons that title. The digimon now can digivolve into champion. The digidestined are shocked when Stingmon, the champion form of Wormmon, kills a Thundermon. Very soon afterword, Palmon sees a woman put our one of her hairs, stick it in a contol spire, ans say "Spirit Needle." They realize that the Thundermon wasn't a real digimon. The woman reveals herself to be Arukenimon, a digimon. Her friend, Mummymon is her partner in crime. When she makes an Okuwamon with control spires, Exveemon and Stingmon DNA digivolve to Paildramon. Aquilamon and Gatomon DNA digivolve to defeat a Blossomon. Arukenimon uses 100 control spires to make BlackWargreymon. He wants to find his purpose in life. He thought destoying destiny stones would help him find it. Shakkoumon and Angemon DNA digivolve to stop BlackWarGreymon from destroying the last destiny stone. When the kids try to move the destiny stone, Azulongmon talks to the kids. Paildramon digivolves into Imperialdramon during a fight on earth. Digimon appear all around the world. The old and new digidestined tavel around the world to get them back to the digital world. They all return for Christmas. Arukenimon and Mummymon are revealed to be created by Yukio Oikawa. Before going to fight Oikawa, they had to send Daemon to the Dark Ocean. BlackWarGreymon sealed the Highton View Terrace gate to prevent Oikawa from going to the digital world. They end up going to a stange world. Oikawa has Myotismon inside of him. Myotismon leaves him and is now MaloMyotismon. The children, with the help of every digidestined in the world, put their power in Imperialdramon who uses his Giga Crusher to defeat MaloMyotismon.
